Totally Truffles
Totally Truffles has a variety of tree species (Holm Oak / Hazel / Silver Birch / Hop Hornbeam / Lime / Larch / Douglas Fir) inoculated with a variety of truffle fungi; currently available for purchase.
Trees infected with the burgundy (Tuber aestivum; or black summer) truffle ranging from 6-18 months are available. We can offer individual trees for £30, larger quantities of trees can be purchased by prior request.
Each tree will be supplied with a certificate of molecular analysis (PCR and Sequencing) validating its infection status. We can also validate truffles using this technology for companies wanting to authenticate their fruits, trees and food products upon request (Totally.Truffles.UK@gmail.com).
Totally Truffles is also developing bespoke methods of growth that will improve the likely hood of truffle production. We have a proprietary method of chemical elicitation that is proven to increase the yield and propensity of mycorrhizal- associations.
Trees are now available that have been infected with the black winter truffle (please contact us in to ensure availability). We are hoping to use our technical know-how to introduce the elusive winter / spring truffle species (Tuber borchii, magnatum & melanosporum) to the orchards of the United Kingdom. To-date these truffle species have only been grown commercially in warmer climates than our own.
